When we started this project in March of 2007, the team decided that our efforts should benefit our local United Way.
E-bay, as one of the primary sponsors of the $2007 Challenge, offered us the wonderful opportunity of being among the
first to benefit from a new tool to showcase (see it above) the Cheaparral! During the listing we watched quietly and
answered questions from potential bidders; we were more nervous than we were going into the race!
The team gathered to party and anxiously await the end of the auction at 10:00 PM our time on December 11, 2008. Who
would win? What would the final price be? Where is the beer?!!
Finally, after much refreshing of the computer screen, the final price was posted! A cheer and a big toast, we had raised
$13,201.00 for charity! We want to express our appreciation for all who participated in the bidding, and specially wish the
new owner Luck and Fun!
